Getting Traffic Through Advertising

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

There are several ways that you can advertise inexpensively. For newbies that’s just starting out with an online business and a low budget, you can focus on the free advertising that you can get. If you have an online business, this can be even easier, as long as you are willing to take the time to do it. If you can go to chat rooms, blog’s, or other interesting places and keep your website or your business name as your signature, even if that is only seen by a few people it is still a free way to advertise.

You can also post your name on various threads and in various places that will allow you to post your website. There are website that is dedicated to helping newbies with free advertising until they are able to afford something better. Here are two sites that come to mind. One is call: T2000 Ultra.com and the other is call: Free Viral.com. These sites are design to improve your traffic, and if you were able to convert the traffic into sales then it would be worth your time to check them out.

One of the keys to advertising online is to find a place online where lots of your customers are going to go. Customers who are looking for the same type product or service you have to offer. In order to do this, you have to be sure that you know who your demographic is and who is using your business. This might require some work on your part. Once you have identified who the people are that are using your business, you can go to other sites that these people are also going to be using, and you can advertise on these sites, quite easily.

The other way to advertise cheaply is by writing articles about your business, blogging and word of mouth. This might require you to be online for a long time, simply going to sites and talking about your business and how good it is. This is something that requires time and energy, but in the end you will find that it is actually a very inexpensive way to advertise. Remember, as I stated before this is mostly for newbies who is just trying to get their online business ideal notice.

Once your business start pulling in a profit, then you can move on to higher means of advertising. But for a lot of new online business, they don’t have the big bucks to have a Google click ad; adwords and ezines are just some of the other way you can advertise online. Right now all they are after is getting traffic to their site.

But if you do have the time and money, you can also advertise out in the world, not on the Internet. This is something that you can do by way of posters, billboards and flyers and by other methods as well. The main idea is that you should find out where your customers are going to be, and locate them, whether it is in the real world or whether it is online. Once you have located your customers, you can go ahead and start advertising in ways that they are going to understand, and ways that they are going to be able to take advantage of.

Three Keys to Succeeding This Year

(c) Charlie Page
------------------------------------------------------

When it comes to succeeding online - whether that means starting your own online business, earning money as an affiliate, or something more, there is a world of confusion.

Create a niche site, some say. But that's easier said than done.

Publish an ezine, say others. But what would you have to say?

Become a super affiliate we often hear. Again .. HOW?

In the years I've been online I have been blessed indeed to be able to learn what I needed to know to succeed. Sometimes I learned from others examples. Sometimes I learned from watching others mistakes.

And sometimes I learned from painful (and costly) trial and error.

Based on all of that, I'd like to share with you three keys that I believe can help every one of you succeed this year, and beyond.

---> 1. KNOW YOURSELF

The good thing about the Internet is that there are so many different ways to make money.

And the bad thing about the Internet is that there are so many different ways to make money. ;)

So what's a boy (or girl) to do?

Know yourself. Respond to what feels right, what sounds right to you. Remember what you learned as a youth -- if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Nowhere is that more true that on the Internet where scams and snake-oil salesmen abound.

So, how *specifically* does 'knowing yourself' help you succeed online? Here's how. If you are losing sleep over the ability to pay your bills and need some very fast money you may be much better off getting a second job for a while than 'starting an online business'.

I know -- that's not the advice you are used to hearing. But it's the advice I would give my daughter. There ARE situations where trading time for money makes *very* good sense - times where the efforts you make MUST bring a return or you will lose everything.

A bird in the hand still beats two in the bush, and making any real money online when you are just starting out is hard. Very hard.

The truth you are not being told is that the "overnight success" "here's a picture of my PayPal account" "look at my shiny new race car" stories are by FAR the exception ...

IF they are even telling the truth. You know that in your gut, so trust yourself when the voice in your head says "better think twice".

Here's another example.

If you are staying up until the wee hours of the morning viewing site after site that sound too good to be true then you are headed for trouble. Someone is about to pick your pocket.

It might be with the promise of huge commissions or of doing all the work for you (why would they do that?) but one way or the other they are going to take your money. So be careful. Very careful.

---> 2. GET OFF THE OPPORTUNITY TREADMILL

What does that mean? It means stop looking for the next big thing and start looking for the next real thing. Specifically, if a business you are considering does not make sense to you but is asking you to 'trust them' please don't.

Business online is just like business offline. Those who stick with things succeed. Those who jump around don't. Nowhere is this more evident that in network marketing. I've read, but not confirmed, that the average person starting out in network marketing stays with the program they choose for less than 90 days.

My friend, no one succeeds at anything new in less than 90 days ... especially if they are doing that business part time.

So, forget the word 'opportunity' for a moment and focus on the word business. Here are a few clarifying questions that might help.

Is the business you are considering delivering a real product?

Does that product help people achieve meaningful goals?

Do you understand how the business works?

Could you explain the business to your best friend and be comfortable?

WOULD you share the business with your best friend and still be comfortable in the friendship?

If you answered yes to all of these questions you have the beginning of a basis to go into a business. If not, run.

---> 3. FOCUS

We touched on this above but it is *so* important thatI want to hover here for a moment more. To succeed online (or offline for that matter) you willhave to focus on *one* thing at a time.

* Focus your attention
* Focus your resources
* Focus your passion
* Focus your time

If you learn to focus your resources in this way on*one* thing and prove that it is for you (or that it isnot for you) you will succeed faster. Period. How can you focus?

Think of something you want to accomplish. It might be a business you are considering or a new site you want to build or a way to advertise a product.

Now examine that from the outside in and then the inside out and then examine it again. Ask questions. Be a skeptic.

Check out testimonials to be sure they are real. Ask people who have succeeded with the idea you are pursuing.

Now go further and Google something about the idea to see what people are saying and to check the validity of any sites you might be considering.

Once you *know* that you want to move ahead take action and give it your all. Only then can you know what will work for you! One last word - the fact that something doesn't work the first time does not mean that it will not work.

Nowhere is this more evident than in the world of advertising where beginning advertisers wrongly think they can run one ad and have it succeed. Professional advertisers know that it takes testing - and patience - to make an ad campaign work.

If your first attempt at something fails consider analyzing why and trying again before moving on to something else. Use your focus to discover how to do better on the next try.

The list of people who failed on their first try and then went on to greatness is legion.

I hope that this year is your best year ever.

May it be so for us all.

Getting Customers To Your Home Business Website

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

The most important thing you need to keep in mind when you start building your business website is, how quick will the page open. You can have the best design website on the Internet or have the best Internet business, but if it take forever for the page to open, then you could be loosing sales. People in general will not wait too long for a website to open before moving on to another site. You can check the speed of your website for FREE at: Web Page Analyzer

Even if you have taken all of the steps to make sure that you are advertising your online business in the best way for you, you might not be in the home stretch. Even if you have people come to your website, you want to be sure that you can keep them there. This is something that is very important, and also very hard to do. A good quick website not only will attract people to it, but will also keep them looking and hopefully turn them into customers.

There are several ways that you can make sure you have the right kind of website for you. First of all, the website has to be as organized as possible. Many people are going to get frustrated if they can't easily see what is on your website, and if they cannot see it they will not be able to use the website as easily as possible. Remember that if a person cannot figure out how to use your website, chances are good that they will simply go away and not use it any more. Therefore you must be sure that your website is as organized as possible.

The other thing that you have to remember is that your website must be easy to use. If you have lots of different things to click on and many buttons, you might end up with a website that is much too hard to use. Therefore, you want to be sure that you are able to have a website that you can make as easy as possible.

Remember that the other thing a website needs is contact information. No matter what you want to do, you have to be sure that there is the right kind of contact information on your site. If someone can't see how he or she can easily contact you, they might feel like they don't have to do so and will simply find another site. So, it is important that you find a good way to have your contact information on your website.

The other thing that you have to remember when it comes to keeping customers is that you absolutely must be able to respond to them right away. IT is important that you are able to respond to your emails or your phone calls when people email you or call you with information or questions. This is something that can mean the life or death of your business, so you want to be sure that you are doing it at all times.

It might take some time to set up your website so that you will be able to keep customers, but you will find that this is something that is worth it in the end. This is going to help you make sure that you are able to be successful as a business owner and that you will also be able to get as much out of your business as you possibly can. Remember that this is very important for you to do.

Keywords Are King

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

When you operate your business on the Internet, there are a number of different tactics that people use in their online businesses, but there is one thing that ties all of these tactics together. Every single tactic used by a business today successfully is successful primarily because somewhere in that tactic there are keywords that make the tactic work. Keywords determine almost everything imaginable on the Internet and that is exactly why Keywords are King in the land of online Internet marketing and home based business online.

Importance

The importance of keywords has to do with search engines. How many times have you been interested in learning about a specific something and then searching online for that specific something in a search engine like Google, Yahoo or MSN? If you are like most people that have used the Internet, the answer is quite often. While some people might exclusively search online encyclopedias and other products like that, at the same time most of the people will use search engines to look over the Internet and this amounts to hundreds of millions of people conducting billions of searches each day.

The keywords that you use on your website are going to be the keywords that they put into the search engines if you do the keyword placement correctly and that ultimately means that keywords are directly linked to search engine success and this is exactly why they are so important in the grand scheme of things.

Plan of Attack

Having a plan of attack for your keywords when you set up your website is always a good idea. The best way to formulate that plan of attack is to fine keywords directly related to the website that you are building. For example, a website on Slim-Fast would greatly benefit from keywords like "weight loss", "diet" and "diet drink".

Once you have a list of very obvious keywords, your goal is then to run those keywords through keyword tools and figure out what people have been searching for in relation to those words and compile a list of keywords in this way. Then, come up with synonyms and search for the synonyms. It is a good idea to have at least 100 keywords for a website before you formulate your plan of attack and going through this process will ensure that you probably end up with a lot more. But make sure the words appear some place on your website.

Search Engine Optimization

Part of your plan of attack has to revolve around getting those keywords into places on your website where they will attract the interest of the search engines and the process of doing this is known as search engine optimization. Search engine optimization essentially means getting important keywords into the titles and sub-titles of the website pages that you have and also making sure that keywords are sprinkled throughout the text in appropriate percentages.

All of this is very difficult to master but easy to learn the basics of, so if you are putting together a website learning the basics of search engine optimization is a very good idea. All the hard work of search engine optimization will pay off in the end when your website end up on the first page of one of the search engine like Google or Yahoo.

When starting an online business one of the first thing you want to do is find a online programs that induct you to the fast track for seemingly unlimited earning capacities that is simple, but increasing your online residual income opportunities takes a bit of doing and a little know-how. Imagine the possibilities associated with not only growing your steady cash flow potential, but also cultivating a vibrant residual system that will pay you long after your direct involvement in a deal or transaction has been paid!

From the onset it is imperative to realize that any website which promises you to make money while you sleep, get rich quick overnight, and become a millionaire doing this line of work is lying to you and most likely is trying to do little more than get you to pay $19.99 to $ 49.95 or some such amount in an effort to sell you a secret that allegedly will make all of your dreams come true. Think about it! If there truly was such a secret, the person in possession of it would not be hawking it on a badly designed website using stock graphics.

The only way to increase your online residual income opportunities is through dedication and hard work and just a bit of business savvy you can get yourself without paying one red cent. Begin by building a website that is user-friendly as well as search engine friendly (optimize your site).

You may then use it to sell the product you may have decided to sell. Conversely, you also have the option of signing up with a multi level marketing (MLM) company which will not only build you a website already populated with all the links you need and commerce tools you will require, but the company will even hold the product for you in their warehouse pending the sales!

Maximize your income potential and begin your road to residual income by recruiting other individuals to do the same thing. Invest your time in training them, helping them to build an online presence, and also coach and encourage them as needed. You will be rewarded with a small percentage of their overall profits, which will continue to trickle in long after your training and grooming of this individual will cease.

What is more, if you sign up with a MLM company that has a generous remuneration plan, you will find that the people they recruit will also pay a small percentage of their profits to you, and thus if you are a successful recruiter who finds, grooms, and then turns out other successful recruiters, you are in the fast lane to making some serious residual income!

Self promotion and the utmost care in choosing a product and company are key components to increasing your online residual income opportunities, as faddish products, companies with bad reputations or a less than generous reward and remuneration structure will rarely attract others either as customers or potential recruits.

In the same vein, ensure that the market is not overly saturated with the product you are selling for otherwise even the best-developed plan is doomed to fail. One more keynote, always give something away to your potential customers. This will keep them coming back.

Double Duty: 77 Ways to Make Money on the Side While at Work

Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 6:24pm by admin

By Christina Laun

Ever have times when you’re sitting at your desk with nothing to do and wish you could be doing something much more productive instead? If you put your mind to it, you could be, and maybe even earn a little money at the same time. So long as you’re still getting your primary work done, there’s really no harm in taking your productivity to the next level, right? Here are a few ways that you can start using your spare minutes at work or at home to make a few extra bucks a week with a part-time business.

Around the House

Looking at your own to do list should be enough to show you that there are plenty of tasks you can do around the house that many people would be willing to pay you to take care of for them. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

  • Handyman: Are you good with a hammer or a screwdriver? Why not turn that skill into a little extra money on the side by offering handyman services to those who are too old or too inexperienced to do minor home repairs on their own. You can even spend your downtime at work posting ads for your services on local bulletin boards.

  • Cleaning houses: Everyone wants a clean house, but not everyone wants to do the work that goes along with it. Offer cleaning services to local homeowners and you could make good money for just doing a few extra chores around the house.

  • Home inspection: Before buying a home, most buyers have it checked out by a home inspector to make sure it’s sound before they complete the sale. If you’ve got some knowledge of construction and building codes you could be that inspector and be making money anytime you get spare time to check out a house.

  • Window tinting: With a little basic training and equipment, you can get set up to tint the windows of just about anything. Whether it’s tinting car windows or office buildings, you can be making some green by offering this service during your downtime.

  • Houseplant maintenance: If you’ve ever gone out of town and come home to withered and brown plants, you all about the need for plant care. Offer your watering and care services to homeowners as well as businesses who don’t have a green thumb or the time to care for their leafy decorations.

  • Organizing: Have a gift for bringing order to chaos? Make it your job. Help packrats clean out their closets and get rid of the excess clutter and you could make a tidy profit.

  • Yard care: The outside of the home is the only part that most people ever get to see, so it makes sense that it should look good. Capitalize on this by offering yard care services like lawn mowing, weeding, fertilizing, and pruning. Money could just end up growing on trees after all.

  • Wallpaper hanging: If you’ve ever hung wallpaper you know how difficult it can be to get just right. Some lucky people, however, have a particular skill at it. If you’re one of them, you can earn some extra weekend dollars by hanging wallpaper for those who are clueless in the ways of papering walls.

  • House sitting: Put a vacationing client’s mind at ease by being a house sitter. You’ll be there to make sure the plants get watered, the mail gets brought in, and those daily newspapers don’t just pile up in the yard.

  • Window cleaning: No matter what, over time, windows will get dusty and dirty. With a ladder and a squeegee, you could turn a profit cleaning these hard to reach windows for people in your area.

  • Pool service: While cleaning and maintaining pools might not be the most glamorous work, it can bring in some much needed income, especially if you live in a hot area where many people have pools.

  • Power washing: You can rent, borrow or buy a simple power washer and turn it into a small side business. Driveways, houses and even businesses could stand a little bit of a wash now and then.

Technology is in everything these days, and if you know enough about it you can make good money selling your skills. Here are a few tech related business ideas to try out.

  • Computer set up: Despite the constant presence of technology in most peoples everyday lives, there are some that just can’t seem to get the hang of it. This is where you can come in and get paid to help those with new computers get them set up, install new programs, and make sure everything is plugged in correctly.

  • Home entertainment service: Home entertainment systems are getting fancier and fancier, and as a result many people have little idea of how to hook them up. This is where you can come in. • Computer tutor: You might be a computer whiz, but many others, especially older people, aren’t and could use a little help learning how to navigate their desktop. Fear Is The Biggest Obstacle To Starting A Home Base-Business

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

It has often been noted that a failure to plan is a plan to fail and when starting a home base-business, this is especially true. One of the most common causes why people shy away from starting their own home business is fear. Most understand that when they operate their own business their time is no longer their own the needs of their customer is going to come before the needs of their family and many are not willing to make that sacrifice.

In addition to time, money is the second most fearful aspect of working for them selves, knowing that if they mess things up; it can be a problem for more than just them. The needs of their family will still be there even if the money is not available and there are many other things they have to worry about when striking out on their own. Not least of which is health insurance for their family. They will have no one else to turn to if they can't make the monthly premium payment and most believe they will not be able to afford insurance that offers good coverage based on their projected income.

Some folks are lucky enough to also have a spouse that works and they can be covered under their insurance policy, but when a couple begins a home base-business together there will be nothing to fall back on if business is not as good as they hope it to be. Daily incidentals are also a concern for those thinking about starting their own home business. Eating, car payments, rent or mortgage and utilities will all need to be paid regardless of where the money comes from. Just thinking about how they will pay for everything can keep some people on their old job no matter how unhappy they are.

While everything considered is a real concern, by weighing the potential for success against the possibility of failure, there are some who will plan ahead and then take the plunge. Unless they have a remarkable product or service that is going to provide the necessary income beginning on day one, they will have to plan for making the switch from employee to business owner. It may be in their best financial interest to begin their business venture on a part-time basis, maintaining their insurance and level of income while putting in extra hours at their own home business until it builds into a full time income.

Many times when working towards making this transition, people can grow frustrated with the pace at which the new venture is growing, but they need to remain realistic. The new business probably will not grow any faster if they are working at it full time and should not allow the perceived frustrations at their old job convince them to make the mistake of leaving before the new business can support them and their family.

While fear of failure should not be the deciding factor of whether to strike out on their own or not, the fear can be used to help them decide when it is financially safe to do so. Ignoring the fear and diving right in may help them become successful sooner, but it can also lead to disaster. Using the fear to better understand the challenges and to develop ways to meet those challenges can make their fear a partner in the decision instead of the deciding factor that prevents them from even trying.

The NetMarketer

The idea of working from home is a dream for millions of people for numerous reasons. It can be useful to those looking for additional income, retirees, mothers of young children, or the individual who is simply tired of the long commute to and from their current job. As more and more people look into home business opportunities there are scam artists and con men looking into ways to take advantage of people as well. So how do you know if a home business idea is legitimate? You can search through sites such as the BBB or Better Business Bureau or become a detective to track down proof of legitimacy or you can save yourself some time and effort by visiting a work at home jobsite.

You will still want to verify through the site such as looking for the BBB symbol, but a home base-business jobsite carries legitimate jobs with various types of telecommuting and freelance employment opportunities. You are provided with a job description, the skill required for the position and the duties involved in the job. So you don’t have to ask these questions as they are already provided for you. Pay rate and scheduling information will also be provided for you. If you see a position that interests you, there is often a resume builder or tutorial that will aid you step by step in applying for the position with a clear and professional resume.

There are numerous positions ranging from medical transcriptions and data entry to call centers and customer service positions. Jobs are updated every week with up to 200 new listings each time. You are sure to find a position that allows you to enjoy working at home. You no longer have to worry about the commute to and from work. No more office politics or hassles of an unappealing schedule. You are in charge of your position 100%. Though a work at home jobsite is often legitimate, do be sure to get contracts and other job materials in print before providing any banking or personal information such as your social security number. You can have an attorney review your documents prior to signing on with the company. This ensures that you are fully protected and able to proceed with your career change.

If you are prepared to begin your own journey into a personal career change, you can start with the help of the Internet by using the World Wide Web. You will find numerous home based business jobsites and choosing between them is a matter of searching online to find the site that best suits your personal preferences. How To Write A Keyword Article

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

There is a lot of talk these days about using keyword articles to attract visitors to a website for a home base-business; and with the growing use of article marketing, there seems to be some benefit to using this method in a company's marketing plan. There is also some confusion about the use of keywords as well as what they are and what they mean to a website owner.

First of all, keywords are those entered into a search engine by an Internet user who is looking for specific information. They may not know exactly what they are looking for but they know what they want. For example, if a person is looking for home improvement tips about replacing ceramic floor tile, they have the option of entering many different search terms, which really is what keywords are all about.

They may enter the term 'replace ceramic floor' or simply enter 'ceramic floor' and start looking at the search results pages for the information they can use. Terms such as 'replacement floors' or 'replacement ceramics' may also be used and business owners will have no idea what terms the user will look for and when beginning their search most users rarely find what they want on the first few tries. Unless, there is an article somewhere that uses that exact phrase.

Typically, an article will contain a specific search term between four and 12 times, depending on the length of the article and the search time needs to be placed in the article so that the writing remains grammatically correct and the phrase is a natural order as though it belongs there and not used simply to use it. Unfortunately, some websites will use what is termed keyword stuffing, which uses the phrase 30 or 40 times in a four or 500 word article, which is a turn off for the search engines and really offers nothing useful to the web searcher.

Articles need to offer some value to the person conducting the search. If the company that sells replacement ceramic tile can produce a series of articles on the best way to remove the old tile, remove the old glue or cement from the surface, how to prepare the surface for new tile and other areas about the subject, they will provide valuable information that can draw visitors to their site where they may actually buy the tile.

These articles can be published on their own home base-business website or other businesses sites on pages dedicated to helping potential customers learn how to replace the tile. They can also be published on homeowner remodeling sites as tips for others. One thing that articles cannot do is advising the readers to visit a specific site or a specific business. This is unacceptable to search engines as well as to other web ezine publishers.

All published articles can have an author's biography giving the author credit for the article as well as outline their competence in the subject matter. The block on these articles could talk about their experience level in ceramic tile replacement and the years they have been involved in the business as well as mention they operate a business at the website location, including a hot link.

Making Money Online is Not Easy

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

People make money online with all kinds of different items from physical goods that are delivered to the customers to information and service. But some people would like to tell you that making money online is as easy as turning on your computer. They might not say it like that, but they'll tell you something like "This is the only program you will never need." Or, "We'll give you everything you need to make money at home."

They never tell you up front how much time it's going to take, how much money or how much knowledge you will need to get your business off the ground level. These things are all items you need to know before you start to try making money online. It's not to say that programs that make these types of claims aren't good or even great, but you should know what you're getting into. Make sure the business you are signing up for will give you the proper training and have a good support team.

The first thing you should understand about making money online is that it's never going to make you rich overnight. It can make you rich, and you can make money overnight, but the odds of you getting rich overnight are about equal to you getting sent to prison for fraud, embezzlement or the like. Knowing this right off the bat is going to put you in a better mind set than most people who try to start a business online.

While you may be desperate for cash, desperation is not going to change these facts. If you need a large amount of cash overnight, look somewhere else. But you can start earning income quickly with affiliate programs, programs like the one located on the Netmarketer site. The business on that site has been tested to prove you will make money. Also look for programs that pay via Paypal so you can get quick access to your money.

You don't have to have one source of income, or even one type of income. You may make some money from affiliate marketing, you may make some money taking surveys or selling items on ebay. Just remember that making money online can be done in many ways, but it all takes time and effort to really bring in the revenue. But the main thing to keep in mind is, it will take work on your part to achieve you goal.

Marketing Your Ideal Online Business

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

When you want to run your own ideal online business, you have many choices when it comes to how you want to market it. Common online marketing methods include pay-per-click advertising, creating a website, and publishing articles that others can use on their own sites.

These methods, when used correctly, may be all you need to create a profitable online business. While there are other methods you can use, these are the ones that will get you the most attention in the shortest amount of time. You can use all three of these methods or you can use one or two depending on the products you are trying to sell.

Pay-per-click advertising relies on search engines and keywords to be successful. If you have ever conducted a search online, you may have noticed the sponsored results at the top and on the side of the page. These results are paid ads. Search engines sell ad space based on the popularity of keywords. If you want to use this method of advertising your ideal online business, you will have to first research which keywords are most commonly used when looking for products and items you sell.

After creating a list of keywords, visit popular search engines to see how much it will cost to place an ad using keywords from your list. Keywords that are popular will cost more than those that don't. In order to be fair and give everyone an equal shot at having their website featured on the search engine result page, businesses bid on keywords and whoever has the highest bid wins a spot.

If you know your product will be popular once people have heard about it and visited your site, then this form of Internet marketing could be very profitable. But if you aren't sure about the product or you think it may be suited for a select group of people, then you should try another form of marketing until you can afford to use pay-per-click. For many people, using this method was never an option because they were able to develop a loyal customer base using less expensive methods.

For most online businesses, creating a website is crucial for success. Without a website, you cannot communicate with customers, sell products, or demonstrate why your product is needed. When building a website, keep in mind your customer base. What are their wants and needs? You should create content that is interesting and entertaining in order to establish trust. Once a customer has visited your site, they will know more about your product and are more likely to place an order.

Writing articles for databases, newsletters, and other online information sites is a great way to gain exposure without having to pay extra. When you write an article that pertains to the items found on your site, you can include your URL so people will know where to find you. Because article databases allow people to use this content on other websites, your URL will be published in various places. This is an inexpensive way to reach marketing groups that are interested in your products or starting an online business.

Five Things You Must Have to Succeed in Affiliate Marketing

The idea of being mere passengers on a ship meant to sail to the farthest points does not appeal to people who like to put their destiny into their own hands. They have the desire of maneuvering the ships themselves, of being able to be the ones to take it anywhere they want to. Being aboard a ship on its way to a particularly great destination is something each and every one of them dreams of, and the knowledge that they have the capacity to steer it themselves is what makes them actually want to.

Perhaps this is the reason why more and more people are succumbing to one of the most popular businesses around is affiliate marketing. It is because in this business, there are no bosses to order the employees around. There are no deadlines to meet and no clutter of work do to. One only needs to be equipped with the tools needed to succeed in a business such as this, and he is bound to get what his heart ultimately desires.

Just what are the things needed to be able to succeed in affiliate marketing?
What must one have within himself to be able to do well in this industry? There is a lot of competition involved in affiliate marketing, and to be able to rise above the norm, one must be equipped with just the right stuff necessary to propel him forward. There are five things one must ultimately possess if he wants to achieve the glory he is yearning for in this business, and these five things are a must for him to possess to be able to stand out among the rest.

The very first quality one must possess if he wants to try his hand in affiliate marketing is the willingness to learn and be trained. Treading through unfamiliar territory is scary stuff if one is not properly equipped, and he might get lost amidst a jungle of the unknown. Learning the tricks of the trade is also an important aspect of the game, and one's willingness to know it all will give him far better advantages in the business than he could ever imagine. That’s why business sites like Plug-In Profit Site offer a 30-day training course.

The second quality one must possess is the willingness to invest time and effort even if direct results do not seem at all apparent. Although several months may pass without good news, it is important for one who has his foot in the industry to hold on and wait. It is this quality which would save him from giving up after investing a lot of himself in the business.

The third quality one must possess is self-determination. If one wants to conquer the affiliate marketing world, he must have the ability to push himself ahead. Never having to say die is a quality each and every affiliate marketer should possess, and the ability to motivate oneself into scaling greater heights is an ability which would actually take an affiliate marketer there.

The fourth quality one must possess is discipline. If one knows how to teach himself to work everyday with all the energy he can muster, then he is close to achieving what he has set his heart to having in the first place.

The fifth and last quality one must possess is optimism. Negative attitudes and hearsays should not discourage an affiliate marketer from pursuing what he has to in order to make life better for himself and for everyone concerned. Neither should anyone influence his attitude toward the business, because once in it, it is a must for him to be the captain of his ship and the master of his soul.

The ingredients to success in a business such as affiliate marketing are diverse and manifold, but the most important thing one needs to be able to make it big lies in himself alone. It is he who has the capacity to do everything to be able to realize his prospects, and the desire which fuels his heart in doing so is the gasoline which should keep the engine going.

Affiliate marketing is all about putting ones fate into his own hands. The right attitude is the key to being able to steer ones ship into that part of the ocean where a certain kind of serenity can be found, one that permeates the atmosphere as the ship sails calmly on.

The Christian Marketing Network

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Many of those professionals in MLM networks follow a variety of methods in gaining success. One such method of MLM network success is the Christian Marketing Network. Most of those who use this method maintain that the bible holds the key to building wealth. Experts mention that the bible is easier to understand than most people realize. An excellent example of this is in the correlation between the development of Christianity and the building of a successful network marketing business. This article will examine how these two seemly different activities have much in common.

The first part of this correlation is both activities start with a vision of the future. In the early stages of the Christian movement something was set in place that has endured the test of time. A great promise was presented for a better future. The activity of network marketing was decided through the strength of the vision, which also has an effect of the strength of the marketers. The key components for both activities: persistence, courage and success. Any business, especially network marketing, requires persistence to overcome obstacles, and the courage to face rejection and adversity.

A grand vision of the future fuels persistence and courage. The Christian Marketing Networker must keep a few things in mind. The vision must already be set into place before gaining to prospects to the network. Strategic questioning will lead to the knowledge of the prospect’s own unique vision as well as the whole network.

Dreams and visions vary as much as people. The next thing to keep in mind concerning vision is to have a constant and deliberate sustaining of the vision. The network leader is required to guide the focus of your team. Always begin by setting a grand vision and knowing the vision of network members. In both activities, the leaders and prospects must become masters of the verbal word or story telling. Jesus was a master storyteller.

The bible is full of historical details that are evidence of this skill. By learning how-to transform sales verbiage into specific targeted stories that will eliminate sales resistance at the same time the net worker must capture the mind of the audience. This action will create the sales of a product and/or service. Stories have a powerful effect in this action. Most people like to hear things related to their personal situation.

The access to a collection of targeted stories allows the Christian Marketing Networker to customize persuasion according to the prospects wants and needs. The Christian Marketing Networker needs to know who to spend their time with. Jesus knew the Christian message was powerful, but that everyone would also not accept it. The Christian Marketing Networkers must also have the foresight to see where and with whom their time is best spent.

The facts are that many people claim to want a better future. Many people claim to desire financial freedom. The interested people in a product and/or service can be easily found by setting the record straight from the beginning. The Christian Marketing Networker must focus time and efforts on only those people that are truly serious with the time to build a solid team into a prosperous Christian Marketing Network.

Starting A Home Business Doesn’t Have To Be Terrifying

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

So, you want to start a home business, but after reading all the statistics about the number of home businesses that fail have you frightened about the prospect of failure. It has often been noted that a failure to plan is a plan to fail and when starting a home business, this is especially true. Understanding the product or service, understanding the available market and understanding your own strengths and weaknesses can take some of the fear out of starting your own home business.

Before starting your own home business, you will need to have a thorough understanding of the product or service you will be offering. Consider if it will be a business based out of your home or one that will be conducted in the home. Many professional services are prime opportunities for home businesses, such as accounting, financial planning and billing, with customers and clients visiting your home business or with you traveling to meet with clients.

Other professional services offer at home business opportunities such as transcription services or billing operations, in which information is emailed to the home and the completed work is electronically returned. There is very little personal contact involved and all transactions are performed through the Internet.

Being able to perform the functions without the need for help and advice from others is the most important aspect of taking some of the fear out of starting your own home business. Before you sell any product or service, you will need an understanding of whom your customers will be, as well as how to reach them. Leaving your family and friends out of the equation, you should ask to whom you will make the first sale.

You should then be able to consider where the following customers will come from and this should be part of information you gathered in determining there is a market for your business. When you start to draw up your list of future customers, as the list grows longer the amount of fear you may be feeling about starting your own business will begin to fade.

Simply stating, “I can do this,” is not the same as identifying your weaknesses and strengths. Before starting a home business you have to objectively assess your abilities and where the lack of any ability will become a liability to the success of your business. Sometimes it hurts, but being brutally honest with your self can save a lot of aggravation in the future. Recognizing weaknesses can help them be overcome and add to the chance of success.

If one of the strengths you list states you are a ‘people person’ write down what that means. You may be surprise that your best efforts are executed when you work alone. Once you have identified your good points and those that need improvement, there should be little terror in starting your own home business.

Once you are over all of your fears, you might want to try your hand at Internet marketing. This is a business you can get started with that won’t cost you anything up front incase you discover later that a home-base business is not for you. Take a look at some of the business ideas on the Netmarketer site at: http://www.netmarketer.org. There you will fine an array of business to choose from.

Home Business Concept

Publisher: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Building a business takes time and relying mostly on word of mouth an takes years before the business becomes noticed, especially in the saturated Internet market. ButBefore you can go anywhere with your home based business, you need to have a solid concept of exactly what you want your business to be about. You need to do some reach on home-base business. But if you don't have any ideas at all, there are tons of ways to make your decision, and even if you have a general idea, there are also ways to narrow your focus to a more reasonable scope.

Searching online is one of the best ways to see what business ideas are most popular. There are hundreds of sites by companies looking for people to work from home selling their products. There are also tons of sites dedicated to listing the most popular home business ideas. Both of these are good ways to learn about what is and isn't going to sell online. The main objective is to choose a general concept that you will enjoy and that you are willing to put work into.

Once you have chosen the general area you wish to market yourself under, it is time to do some more research. Under each general heading there are dozens of different products and services you can choose from. One example would be healthcare as a general topic. Within healthcare there are nutritional supplements, personal training, and customized diet solutions. Each of these is a product or service that pertains to healthcare.

Just starting out, it would be impossible for you to try to market all of these products and services at once, but as your business grows you will have tons of opportunity to make affiliations and offer more and more products and services.

These same concepts hold true for nearly every industry. That is why it is important to choose your business idea with growth and expansion in mind. Start out with one small piece of an industry, and continue to grow and develop until you have a way to offer all of the popular products and services, or at least have an affiliation with someone that can cover the things that you don't have. This way your customers will return time after time rather than going somewhere else that has more to offer.

Ultimately the best method for starting your home business is to start small and work big.Building a web-based business will require time and effort and keeping it updated with fresh material will please both your customers and the search engines and by isolating one small piece of an industry you are placing yourself in a niche, which you can grow from.

Trying to start out by selling all of the products and services available is a much greater risk as you business become all or nothing. To get a few general ideas of the industry you wish to be a part of, look online for the top home business ideas. Pick an industry and then begin doing research on particular products or services you can offer.

Can Word of Mouth Advertising Help My Business?

The NetMarketer

When it comes to advertising your business there isn’t anything better then word of mouth. When people hear about a product or service or business from someone not paid to tell them about it, it means much more than anything you could possibly buy. But while word of mouth advertising is always happening, is it working for your company or against it? Here are some things you can do to make sure word of mouth doesn’t wind up being your worst enemy.

The sad truth about people in general is that when people have a good experience with a business (or person, for that matter), they usually keep it to themselves. Unless the service is so over the top extraordinary that they simply need to tell others (or they just happen to be the type of people that like to share good news–a rare breed indeed), no one will ever hear from them about their experience.

On the other hand, if a company wrongs someone, they will climb Mt. Everest to make sure as many people as possible hear about it. If you don’t believe this, go to any message board or consumer reporting website and read feedback on companies and products. You’ll come away thinking that you should never buy from anyone at any time. Of course, this isn’t true, and you may think to yourself that you provide good service. Of course you do. Still, that’s not enough. As illustrated, just one bad experience can make the rounds far more quickly than a hundred good experiences. You have to make sure you have enough positive stories circulating to counteract the bad ones.

The best, most productive word of mouth is many times generated purposely, and comes about through hard work and direction, rather than through hope and happenstance. You can generate the direction and style of word of mouth advertising by enlisting the help of your friends and family members. It’s not unethical, nor is it uncommon. The best businesses do just that. Particularly in today’s Internet age, and the advent of the viral marketing era, more and more seemingly grassroots movements have their origins at the company itself. How do you get it started?

Have your husband or wife tell her group of friends about your business. You don’t need anyone to be deceptive, or “hide” his or her relationship to you. In fact, so much the better if they don’t. Friends naturally want to help friends. When someone happens to ask a friend of your spouse where they get their dry cleaning done, they’ll happily mention your business, even if they themselves have never spent a dime there.

Word of mouth advertising is as powerful a tool as you can use in the marketing realm. But it is just that: a tool. Don’t make the mistake of looking at it like some mystical force you have no control over. If you want to take the reigns and guide the direction of your business, you need to have control over every aspect of your marketing. That includes word of mouth advertising. To do anything less, to let fate decide your company’s destiny, would be irresponsible. You still have to have some paid advertisement to have a balance in your business advertising.

Affiliate Marketing

The NetMarketer

One Internet business that many people are involved in is affiliate marketing. If you are unfamiliar with this type of online business, chances are you have become interested in a product or even made a purchase from an affiliate website. Companies who want to increase their presence online pay a commission to others to advertise and entice web surfers to visit the company's site, sign-up for membership or a newsletter, or encourage people to purchase products from the company. This is called affiliate marketing. One example of an Affiliate Site: http://www.netmarketer.org

There are many ways to advertise for another company. You can create a website, blog, newsletter, ebook, and other materials that are used to encourage people to place an order directly with you or visit the company website and place an order there. By using the links you provide, you will receive credit for each sale you make. At the end of the month, you will receive payment for every customer you direct to the company's site who makes a purchase. While companies offer different commissions, the marketing strategies are the same.

If you enjoy using the Internet, are able to find groups of people to target your marketing efforts with, and are able to write convincing copy that sells, this home business is very easy to get into. Because you can use the same strategies over and over, you do not need to learn new skills after learning the basics. Many companies offer training and other incentives for joining their programs. Once you have created a marketing campaign, you will begin to earn money during the day, in the evening, and while you are sleeping. Because people surf the Internet at different times, you can potentially make a profit at any time.

When choosing a company to work with, you should first review their terms, the commissions they are willing to pay, and also the types of products they are selling. If a product is too difficult to sell, then you won't make any money. While you want to work for a company that is known, you don't want to work for a company that is so well known that people will automatically visit the company site instead of looking for it online.

The best part about affiliate marketing businesses is that you can join two or three programs and make commissions from several companies at one time. As long as you are marketing each product, you will earn money. While some companies do not want their affiliates to work for other companies, many understand that you need to earn a living and will not care, which companies you, work for. As a rule, try to find companies that are diverse so there is not a conflicting.

Standing Out in The Online Realm

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

It has always been a challenge to make your business stand out from the rest of the competition. On the Internet, this challenge is ten fold. The competition is fiercer and it can be very difficult without the touch of personal service to make your business stand out amongst the others. In order to do so, you’ll need to add that little bit extra that will separated you from the rest of the crowd. The cream rises to the top, so here are some ideas to make your online business the creamiest of them all.

One thing that a lot of startup online businesses skimp on is the packaging of their products. Yes, it’s fine to send out your products in a plain old boring brown box from UPS or the Post Office, but it won’t make you stand out in any way. At the worst, it will make you stand out in the opposite way you want. Better to design your own packaging and send your products out in something that has your company name emblazoned on the side. If you want to take the time to design something that looks a little colorful, or fun, that might even be better (although whether or not this is appropriate will be determined by the type of business you run). The Post Office will actually create custom packaging for you if you purchase enough of their shipping services to qualify.

One thing your website should have is some general information and education on the product that you sell. Say for instance you are selling tennis rackets. There should be plenty of information of your website about tennis is general and tennis rackets in particular. There are two reasons for this. One, it’s good to have some sections of the website that are not dedicated to the hard sell. This leads a customer to feel secure, as if the website is there for more than the express intent of taking their money. Another good reason to have this information is to attract visitors that weren’t necessarily looking to buy a tennis racket in the first place. Maybe they were searching for information about tennis. But once you have them at your site, perhaps they will buy something.

A message board is another great way to create a community and have repeat visitors. Don’t think you have a product that would attract a lot of people to sit around and talk about it? That’s okay. Again, think of the example above. A message board solely dedicated to tennis rackets wouldn’t likely entice too many web surfers. But a message board about tennis is another story. And it doesn’t even have to be just about tennis. There could be other sports, and a section for general talk, you name it.

Follow these three guides to bring your website up and into the light. It can be difficult to make a dent in the crowded online market, but it’s not impossible.

Promoting on The Internet

by: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Promoting your small business on the Internet is crucial in today’s world. You will either hire a professional to write out a web press release and have it reviewed by an editor, or you can be bold and take you chances by writing it yourself. The entrepreneur who ignores this gold mine of potential opportunity does so at his or her own peril. There is too much to be gained through marketing on the Internet, and little to be lost. If you company is Internet based to begin with, this is a no-brainer, of course. But things are rapidly changing on the Web, and those marketing strategies that worked a few years ago may not work as well today. Here are a few things you can do to expose your business to potential new customers that work today, but may not in a few years.

SEO. Search engine optimization. For the Internet entrepreneur who wants their website to be a success, this is the first step toward ensuring that success. Unless you have unlimited funds with which to advertise your product, this is a step you cannot afford to skip. Optimizing your website is the equivalent of building your brick-and-mortar store in a major shopping district as opposed to halfway down a dirt road with an old rusty sign pointing in the other direction. Its importance cannot be overstated. There are many facets to SEO, and not enough room in this article to get into them. Fortunately, few topics have been as exhaustively written about. Do a Google search of your own, and you will find plenty to read.

Pay Per Click. This is another fine way to get your Internet business off and running. Google, Yahoo, offers this service! MSN to just name a few. But remember, this could easily become a very costly endeavor if you are getting many tire kickers, and no buyers. This is where you will be paying for people to view but not pay. With Google Ad Words, you’re going to have the most potential traffic, but you may also have the most competition for the best keywords.

What does this mean? Well, Ad Words (and the others) work by letting you create an advertisement (usually a headline and a couple of sentences). You then must choose the keywords that will activate your ad. Then you place a bid on how much you’re willing to pay per click of your ad, depending on each keyword. It all sounds a lot more confusing than it is. The benefit of this type of advertising (as opposed to, say, banner advertising), is you only pay when you have been ensured of a visitor. Of course, what you do with that visitor is up to you and your own marketing skills.

Articles and inbound links is the next to SEO, this is the most powerful section of strategy for the up and coming Internet business owner. In order to move up in the search engine rankings, you must have incoming links (back links, as they’re called in the SEO world). When the search engines see a website with a lot of natural inbound links, they begin to see the website as an authority on whatever subject the site is about. Thus, the site’s ranking begins to improve. There are many ways to go about getting back links, but one of the best ways is through writing articles.

There are article “farms” on the internet, which host your articles for free and then sell them or give them away to other website owners, who are hungry for content. This benefits you because at the end of the article you will have included your name and a link to your website. Every time someone grabs your article to put on their website, you get another important link. There are a million successful strategies for marketing on the Internet, but these are the three building blocks. Go and research them, and your business will be the better for it. Don’t waste your money, time, and sanity wondering whether or not you will receive this exposure to your site. Go get it yourself.
