Is there really free work at home programs?

Yes, there are work at home jobs that are free. In fact, any work at home job that you should even contemplate taking should not cost you any money at all. If you find a work at home job that is asking you to send the money for training materials or for a background check, or for any other reason at all, then it is most probably a scam. If you are just looking for a job that you can do from home working for a company then you should not have to pay any money.

If you are looking to start a home-based business, then this is a different story. If you are looking to start a business then you're going to need to pay for something. Starting a business outside the home can take substantial capital, and so too will a home-based business. The only difference about a home-based business is you might not have to spend as much money as you would in a traditional business.

You will need to make sure that you evaluate any home-based business just as much as you'd evaluate a potential work at home job. There are scam artists that are involved in trying to sell home-based business opportunities as well. The only way to make sure that you're not going to get ripped off is to make sure that you do your homework and check the Internet. Putting the name of the home-based business opportunity in quotes and searching google should give you a heads up. You need to read through the search results and evaluate what reviews you find about this business.

You should also check with the Better business bureau, but this isn't always an accurate way to check. If the business has a bad review with the Better business bureau, then right there your search can be ended, but if it has no record at all or even has a good record this still doesn't mean that it's a good opportunity. It could just mean that they are very good at their scamming. Before you put your money into any thing, whether it be an Online opportunity or an outside of the home opportunity, you should always do your research and make sure that is a legitimate opportunity.

Many people search for a work at home job or home business opportunity because they are desperate for money. Unfortunately, this is one of the worst times to search for an income generator. Desperation can cloud good judgment. And this is what the scammers count on. This is the way that so many smart people can be taken in by scam artists on the Internet. Make sure that you don't become a statistic, and that you do your research.
