This income comes from advertisers who want to be present on your blog, note though that you first need to register with sites that place advertisements on your blog.

5. Invest – investments enable you to yield gains from your endeavors. Investing can be quite simple especially if you seek the guidance of a financial expert who can invest your money in investment mediums that have a good performance.

Writing Autoresponders that Sell

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Since customers generally ignore sales letters, an effective autoresponder should not sound like you are trying to sell something. Instead, it should sound more like an update or a friendly reminder to visit your web site. In the subject line, you should include your company name so people will know it's from you. Since spamming has become a big issue in recent years, wording your message and your subject line correctly will keep your message from the bulk mail pile.

The key to writing effective autoresponder is to have a clear objective from the beginning. Since autoresponder are being sent to those who are interested in your goods and services, chances are they have already visited your site or have made a purchase in the past. Autoresponder are a way to earn repeat business or to sell a new product. They should not be long and they should have a point that is easy to understand.

While many people use autoresponder as a way to reach a large number of people without having to send each person on their mailing list a personal message, you should keep in mind that automated messages do not sell products. Even though your message will be read by thousands of people, making each of them feel special is the goal. Those who receive your message should feel like it was to them from you personally. When writing your message, use a conversational tone. Always include your full name, your company name, and URL so customers can click on it easily when they want to visit your site. Your message should only be one or two paragraphs in length and should mention your web site once or twice.

Don't use autoresponder to plug everyday products. This is a waste of time and if those on your email list receive too many messages, they will want to opt out. Save autoresponder for holidays, special sales, new products launch, or any other time you have something important to say.
In your opening paragraph, introduce your product. Tell the customer when it is available and where they can find it. Since most people do not take the time to read entire emails from companies and small businesses, you should include contact information in the beginning and at the end of your message. In the second paragraph, you can describe the benefits and features of the new product and offer advice on using it.

After sending autoresponder, track their progress to see how many hits you receive as a result. If your message was effective, you will experience an increase in business a few hours after sending the message. Give it a few days to measure the success of your autoresponder.

Pay Per Click vs. Traditional Advertising Online

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Pay per click advertising has been slowly gaining speed as the way to go in online advertising since its start in 2002. The minimum cost to set up an account has really come down which some believe makes pay per click advertising one of the most cost-effective ways to advertise online. Other forms of advertising online, including regular search engine inclusion, banner ads, cross-linking and listing with directories, can have decent result but few are as effective and affordable as pay per click. This doesn't mean you should choose pay per click and avoid other forms of advertising, a good combination is always the best decision for any business, whether on the net or in the real world marketplace.

Minimum deposits on pay per click account vary greatly but are usually between 5 and 25 dollars with a $50 minimum in order to keep the account open. The way PPC usually works is that you will link a credit card or bank account to the pay per click account and when your balance hits a certain amount the money is withdrawn automatically from your payment source. Other traditional forms of online advertising generally expect full payment up front for a certain amount of time. This can be a little daunting when trying an advertising method for the first time and you're not sure what kind of results you're going to get for your money. Unfortunately, advertising is often a trial and error system.

The major benefit of pay per click advertising is that you don't pay unless a visitor clicks your advertising link. This usually means a higher percentage of your advertising budget actually leads to customers. Read the terms of any pay per click site that you're considering since some guarantee clicks as an incentive. People who are getting paid or getting advertising from the company usually produces these clicks. These are not beneficial to your business and should be avoided. Other forms of advertisings may not take as much time to perfect as pay per click advertising. With PPC you can expect to spend an amount of time every week reviewing your keywords and revising your ads and the keyword they are linked to.

Both pay per click and traditional online advertising have their strengths and their weaknesses. Pay per click advertising may cost less but it also takes up more valuable time. The results are targeted to an extent but may not necessarily lead to interesting customers so weekly revising is needed for each keyword account. Traditional advertising may cost more but are usually intended for superior targeting of customers. The traditional forms of advertising online don't call for quite as much upkeep as PPC advertising requires.

Search Engine Optimization That Anyone Can Understand

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Search engine optimization, or SEO, is used by online businesses as a way to increase their chances of being in the top ten rankings on search engines. Because most consumers only look at the top three or five websites listed, being that high in ranking increases the possibility of making a sale. Because there are many tricks to using SEO, you may become confused easily if you are not used to it.

The best ways to use SEO is to add keywords and phrases to your web pages and create back links to your website so potential customers will be able to find your site regardless of whether they use a search engine or not. Search engines use web spiders that search each website and sites connected to it in order to create rankings. While this occurs very quickly, search engines actually check millions of pages checking for sites that are frequently mentioned online. Adding keywords and phrases and adding back links on other websites are easy ways to increase your web presence.

Those using search engines use keywords and phrases. After creating your website, you should conduct research to find the most popular keywords that people use when looking for goods and services similar to the ones on your website. Each page within your site should include keywords in the content, Meta tags, and in the heading of your page. Choosing keywords is not an exact science. Since you cannot read the minds of those using search engines, you will need to choose words and phrases that are common. Search engines have free tools you can use to determine which words are the most popular for your website.

You will have to update keywords each month since the popularity will chance and words will no longer be used as much as they used to. Update your web pages when adding new content or sections of your website. This will help increase the number of hits you receive. Track your hits to see where they are coming from so you can have a better understanding of which words work the best.

Creating back links is another way to increase your web presence. Back links are simply links to your web site. They can be added to your blog, articles you submit to article directories, press releases, and other web sites. The more back links you have, the higher your search engine ranking will be. Adding keywords to your press releases and articles will also help.

SEO is not difficult to achieve once you get the hang of it. Start by adding keywords and phrases in order to begin using SEO. Add back links whenever possible so you will gain more exposure on the web. Track where all of your traffic is coming from so you can market in areas that generate the most traffic.

Why Shop Online?

Publishert: Earl Williams
My Power Mall

If you own your very own Online Shopping Mall with 1000+ stores and millions of products, Besides the fact that you can save money through Shopping Rebates, as well as make money through the Shopping Rebate System, what are the benefits? Good question!

1 - Let’s start with the fact that you have your own Hot Shopping Alert Team working for you. Really! We have an entire team of people scouring our Mall for you daily – looking for the very best deals available – ensuring you will save as much money as possible when you are purchasing the everyday items you need and want. You will receive notification of these deals on a daily basis, ensuring that not only you – but also everyone on your team – will benefit from shopping on MY POWER MALL.

2 – Save Gas. This one is a no-brainer. If you don’t have to drive to buy something, you just saved money.

3 – Save Time. This should be a no-brainer as well. If you don’t have to leave your house and drive to the store, wait in line, or deal with traffic – you’ve saved a lot of time. Time you can spend doing something you enjoy a lot more!

4 – Save Money. You can often find great deals online that you can’t find in the stores. Why? Because the store doesn’t have the same expense of a retail “brick & mortar” location, sales people, etc. They’re just shipping things from a warehouse. They are able to pass the savings on to the consumer – YOU!

5 – Things delivered right to your door. Our Founder, Ginny Dye, experienced this first hand during a huge snow storm in November of 2006. She was preparing to leave on a 3 week trip and had gone on her Mall to order luggage, shoes, and clothing. She was thrilled with her savings but began to be nervous about whether they would be delivered. She couldn’t leave her house because of the snowy roads and most local businesses were closed. 2 days before she was to leave, right on time, a UPS truck equipped with chains, came rumbling down her road and delivered big boxes full of her purchases – right to her door!

6 – Always the right size & color. Instead of going to the store and discovering they don’t have the size & color you want, or they are sold out of that model, etc., you will have access to their entire warehouse!

7– Reduce Greenhouse Emissions. Yes, we here at MPM are committed to preserving our environment. Online shopping will put fewer cars on the road, thus fewer carbon emissions into our atmosphere. And that can only be a good thing!

Stay home, click through 1000 stores, buy what you want and make money!

Knowing the power of your Mall will also help you build your business. One of our members told us about this experience.

I was hanging out in Office Max, waiting for some copying to be done, and decided to walk around the store. I discovered a man looking at computers. “Are you going to buy a computer”? Once I was standing in the computer section, it was easy to start up a conversation.

“Yes, I’m thinking about getting this one here.”

“Wow! Nice computer.” I paused. “Can I ask you a question?” When the man nodded, she continued. “Did you know if you bought that online, that you wouldn’t have to pay sales tax?”

“Really?”

“Yeah. On that computer your sales tax would be over $100. There is also a good chance you would pay less for it since you’re buying it online. And did you know that if you bought it from Office Max you also wouldn’t have to pay shipping since it’s over $50.00? They’ll deliver it right to your door.”

“Great.” The man paused. “Why are you telling me all this?”

“Well, I just happen to have my very own online mall. Office Max is one of my stores, but there are 1000 more. My Mall was completely free. I can give you a special VIP Invitation Card that will allow you to get your own for free as well. Would you like one?”

“Sure! Thanks!”

I filled out a card for him, gave it to him, picked up my printing and left. Later that day I checked my Business Reports and sure enough, there he was. I called him to welcome him to my team and he told me how grateful he was!

Home Based Network And Affiliate Marketing

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Most people would shy away when we start talking about home based business in affiliate marketing for the simple reason that they really don’t fully understand how it work and they don’t want to sell goods and services. If you take a closer look into affiliate marketing, you will find out that it does not necessarily mean peddling or offering goods and services to your friends or family members. In fact, affiliate marketing is really a system of income sharing and cost sharing.

How does a home-based business on network and affiliate marketing work? Network marketing work by recruiting members who will use the product it is selling. The system is multi-level where a person who becomes a member of the network can recruit a friend or a family member to register under his or her network. Every time the recruit purchases a product of the company, the recruiter gets a commission. The good thing about network marketing is that you do not only get a commission on your direct recruit but also on the purchases of your recruit’s recruit usually up to the fourth level. Some networking companies give commission up to the eight level of recruits which really a big advantage if you have a wide network.

Affiliate marketing is a great way for anybody to start a home-based business. The most common reason that people do not get started in affiliate marketing is because they are not aware of what it entails. The basic definition is that affiliate marketing is a method of promoting websites in a way that affiliates are rewarded for sending visitors or customers to other sites. As far as affiliate marketing is concerned, compensation varies depending on the type of program that you are involved with. In some cases you will get paid or have to pay for each visitor that you send or receive. In other cases, compensation is based purely on customers buying products or services.

Many people have benefited for network and affiliate marketing. People who set up home-based business in network and affiliate marketing have succeeded in earning huge income from their networks. The key to success in the networking business is helping each other build a wide member base. A member who helps his or her recruit in recruiting more people would benefit and most likely enjoy the benefits of earning commissions from their recruit’s recruit so it is really a good idea to help each other.

The many critics who would say that networking only makes the people on top of the network rich while those at the bottom will not get anything. Well, that is a matter of opinion. The system is really about pooling of resources by creating a network of consumers. If you build a network, not everybody could be on top at once but everyone will have a fair chance of making it to the top if one will work hard enough. A home-based business in network and affiliate marketing is created to function as a team business, meaning you help each other out. The idea really is to help each other add more people to the system so that you can reach your goal and in return help others do the same. In effect, as you help those people below you to reach another level of the network, you will also be helping yourself reach your goal.

Managing Your Home Business

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

The Problem of Time Management

If you already manage a home business, then you are also probably aware of how it can consume most of your time. Most likely, this happens against your will. After all, there are probably many things that you want to do with your time, such as spending time with your spouse and your children, going out with your friends, listening to music, reading some books, or what not. And yet, the task of managing your home business seems to take up all of your time. What can you possibly do?

What was described in the first paragraph is a classic example of a time management dilemma. Millions of people, not just home business owners, feel that they are not in complete control of their time. This tends to make people miserable, since most people want to feel in control of their lives. After all, what is your life but a measurement of your time? As long as you are unable to spend your time in a manner that you wish, you will never be truly happy, no matter how much money you earn or how many accolades you receive.

Managing Your Time Properly

Set your priorities. The cardinal rule of time management is this: Set your priorities. In life, there is probably nothing more important than setting your priorities, since they will set the stage for just how much time you will spend on each area of your life. You must clarify in your mind exactly what you want in life, and determine to spend more time on those things that you feel are most important.

In the immortal words of Goethe, “Things that matter most must never be at the mercy of things that matter least.” If your home business is the most important to you, then it is only right that you use most of your time on it. But if it isn’t, you should begin to scale back on the time you spend on it. You can either 1) get someone else to do the job for you; or 2) scale back on the amount of work you are already doing. Remember: You own your home business; it doesn’t own you.

When you work, work. Time management gurus tell us that most people don’t really work all the time that they work. This means that they may be putting in 8 hours at work, but they’re not really working for all of those 8 hours. They may spend an hour here chatting with officemates, another hour there for lunch, and another utterly distracted. This causes work to pile up and problems to surface at a later time.

To avoid this, work all the time you work. While you should definitely take creaks whenever you need them, make sure you are not kidding yourself and taking more than time than you need to. By focusing on the task at hand, you will get it done quicker and with less effort, freeing up more time for the other things you want to do.

The Perfect Home Based Business

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Today, many people are taking advantage of the flexible work and turning to home base businesses, which means there are plenty of opportunities and options for those who want to start a home business. One of the first steps towards having success with a home based business is making sure you have a good home computer with internet access. However, after this it can be difficult to decide between the abundant opportunities available for those starting a home based business. It is often more a matter of finding a business that works for you since the entire home based businesses can bring you profits as long as you work at it. So how can you determine which home based business is best for you?

The first step you should take is identifying what you are specifically interested in doing. While a home based business can be fun, it can also be boring if you find yourself doing something you don’t like to do. You should then look at your interests and find which ones will match with the schedule you and your family has. If you have a family or young kids then you may not want a business that requires meeting with clients or one that requires you to work during the daytime. Make sure your management and time plan for a specific home based business will be able to work with your family schedule.

Consider whether or not you are willing to learn. There are many opportunities on the computer that you may be interested in doing, but without additional learning you may not be suited to the job. However, with today’s online learning it can be easy to take seminars online without having a conflict with your work schedule and family schedule. It may also be a good idea to follow this trend of online learning and start selling educational products since you will have a large market to work with and growth potential for your home based business.

You should also consider the company you are going to work for. Most of the companies that have home based jobs will want a payment of some kind. These payments can have a variety of variations and it is important to make sure the company is known for their honesty and integrity before going with them. Make sure you look into the company’s history and profile to make sure they are a good company to go with before starting your home based business. Consider looking for success stories and if possible talking with others who have already worked with the company in order to get adequate information about the company you are looking to work for.

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

When it comes to starting up your own home business, one thing that you have to keep in mind is that owning a home business is basically doing what you love to do and what you are good at. You can’t simply start up a home business in a field that isn’t related to what you are already doing, and expect it to work because starting a home business takes hard work, and beside, there might be thousands, and even millions, of other people with the same idea, and the only way to set your self apart from others in the same market is making sure you have the training in the business you plan to start. You have to have something that you are doing for others, whether you are providing them with a service or you are getting them something that they buy from you. No matter what it is, though you have to pick it based upon what you are good at.

Now, this doesn’t mean that you can’t do something other than what you are doing for a living before you begin the home business. You might have a hobby or something that is interesting to you that you do often, but it might not be what you do to make money. If you love using your computer on a daily bases, you might want to look into a marketing program. This is all part of figuring out what you are good at, and making that be how your home business starts. Go ahead and take a look at something that you enjoy doing, whether or not it is something that you do for a living now, and see if you could make a home business out of it.

Hiring People To Help With Your Home Business

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

When you are looking at having your own home business, you might be thinking about having people work for you. This can be something that you might want to do because having a home business is just like having a regular business; you can grow very quickly and be completely swamped with work before you know it. Therefore, having some help might not be a bad idea, in most cases.

If you are considering hiring people for your home business, there are some things that you should think about. First of all, remember that you are working out of your home. That means that if you are going to have an employee that comes into your home, your criteria might be different than if you were having an employee comes to your office building. If you are hiring people to work in your home along with you, you might want to take some things into consideration, such as if the person is going to be fine being with your children, or if you want that person in your home.

Another thing that you might want to think about when it comes to hiring people to help you in your home business would be if you want to have that person actually come to your home, or if you want them to work online with you. This can be a much easier way to hire people – you won’t need to find extra space to put employees, and as your business grows you can simply add more people online. This is the way that most people who work from home end up getting their employees, because it is the easiest.

No matter what, you want to realize that having a home business is just like having a regular business. If you are going to be hiring people, there are things that you should have. First of all, you need to have a clear set of responsibilities that each employee should take care of, and you want to be sure that you are posting these and that all of the employees have agreed to this.

You also want to make sure that you have a clear cut pay schedule as well as a pay rate, and that you are upfront about everything when it comes to how, when, and how much you are going to pay your employees. Remember that it might be tempting to be friendly and to act like friend with your home business employees, because you are at home, but you should always remember to be professional and to make sure that business gets taken care of in a professional way. You want to maintain the idea above all else you are a business and it has to be run like one.

Keys to Success in a Home Business

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Like any business, a home business needs to be nurtured in order for it to be successful. You can't just sit back and hope that it is going to take care of itself, and that the single action of having a website and submitting it to search engines to allow potential customers to find it is going to do the trick. No matter what you may have been told, there is no business that is going to make money for you without you having to do some work to make it happen.

Yes, they teach you about residual income in network marketing, but even that residual income in based upon hours, months, and possibly years of very hard work promoting, training, advertising, and learning in a continuous cycle until you have attained the level within the organization where you can sit back and let the business work for you. Rental property is another area where many people mistakenly believe they can sit back and let someone else do the work, but again, this is something that only happens after years of doing things yourself in order to reach the point where you can afford to pay someone to take care of everything for you.

How does all of that tie in to the keys of success for a home business? It means that you have to work hard in order to be successful. One of the mistakes that many people make with a home-based business is they fail to see it as a business and put it second in line after doing all of the other things they want to do. Even though you are not working in an office, you still have a business that needs your attention, so you have to devote time to doing just that.

That means if your best friend calls and wants you to go shopping, you have to make sure she understands that you still have a job, even though you are working at home. Does that mean you neglect family and friends? No, of course not, but you have to set aside certain hours to work on your business just as you would if you were going to work each day. That doesn't mean that you have to work 8-5 each day, but you do need to put in the amount of hours necessary in order to do the things that are required.

It's also important to set aside a certain amount of time to do nothing but network and business promotion. You can do this by email, website promotion, passing out business cards in your local area, making up fliers to send out, or any number of other ways. The important thing is that you must have an organized method of networking if your business is going to be successful. In summary, the key points are (1) Treat your business as if you were going to work each day; (2) Have an organized criteria for what you need to do daily; and (3) Build your business with the knowledge that you will always have to be involved in order to maintain success.

Tax laws can and do change. Not realizing or understanding this can lose profit for the home business with payment over taxes needlessly. It can also result in audits and penalties which can be time consuming and costly.

Here’s a general list of what home business owners can generally deduct on taxes.

Auto or other vehicles expenses used in business are eligible for home business deductions on taxes at the mileage rate of 40.5 cents for every mile. The alternative is to claim the actual cost of insurance, car repair and maintenance and gas.

Generally half of the cost is all that is deductible unless the clients are served in the business owner’s home. Business travel is a legitimate deduction for home business taxes. Extra Income Ideas

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

When trying to earn extra income ideas may seem a little far-fetched at first, but if you consider the ideas they may seem workable. It has always been said that necessity is the mother of invention and coming up with ideas to earn extra money seems easier when you really need to do so.

When looking to earn extra money you have to remember the idea is not to replace the money you are already earning. In other words, do not give up a regular job in order to earn money from another source. Money earned that way is not extra and you may have trouble staying caught up. Rather, any time and effort you put into earning extra money has to be above and beyond what is normally expended.

Although working out of the house, traveling to a job site, will also take time away from your family. You may want to consider a part time career in wholesaling in which you purchase merchandise at wholesale prices and resell it either at craft shows or online. You can purchase wholesale product online and have them drop ship directly to your customers which will save on shipping cost.

Visiting wholesale outlets you can occasionally find a really good price on quality merchandise that you can advertise and sell. Develop a retail website on which to sell this type of merchandise and then keep your eyes open for more bargains. With many of the online pass-through banking companies offering a free secure shopping cart, you can achieve the sales and collect money from your buyers quickly and safely.

Many even offer buy now buttons and are capable of printing shipping labels. With home pickup available from most shipping companies, you will not have the time and expense of taking your packages to the post office. Several companies are advertising how you can make a ton of money with online auctions and even offer to provide the product and handle all shipping and handling. All you need is an auction ID and the willingness to list their products on the auction.

Typically, you are also charged a monthly fee for the privilege of listing their merchandise. The difference between the sell price and your cost of the merchandise, minus the listing fees, is your profit. While this may be promising as well as profitable, if the items do not sell, as the one who listed the merchandise you are still responsible for the fees.

Joining with existing online companies to push their products is another method of earning extra money, and several offer a viable business model. Realize that in order for you to achieve sales, you will need to promote your individual website that offers the product for sale. To fine wholesale companies that can help you seek the perfect products at the lowest prices possible, for the greatest potential profits and have thousands of products at below wholesale prices, visit the Netmarketer.org website.

Extra Income Opportunity Working At Home

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Working at home has a nice ring to it and many see being able to set their own hours as a dream come true. For those who have little or no self-discipline, that dream can quickly turn into a nightmare. There may be times when a deadline is approaching as well as your favorite sports team on television. Without the discipline to set your priorities to your work, your home business will fail.

When you make the commitment to work from home, you are telling your clients or customers that you are ready to do whatever it takes to get the job done within the promised time. When you continually fail to do that, you are telling them that you do not care about their needs and your time is more important to you than their project.

When you work from home, if there is no one around a majority of the day then there should be no distractions to keep you from getting your work done. When you first begin working at home, the first few days may be wasted as you get up in the mornings and think about not having to go anywhere. How nice it is that you can work whenever you feel like it. Soon, however, you may find yourself struggling to hit deadlines and having trouble finding new projects.

One tip about working from home is that while you can work in your pajamas, until you are settled into your routine of working at home, gets up in the morning and get dressed for work. Hit the office at a specified time and establish regular hours. Once acclimated to getting your work done on time, then you can play with your schedule and your dog during the day and finish your work in the evening.

Many clients will not care whether you are working on their project at seven in the morning or 10 at night. Their only concern is that the work is done to their specifications within the time that was promised. It is up to you to accomplish this.

Other than discipline, organization is a key ingredient in working from home so that little details, or big jobs, are not overlooked and forgotten. Other than not getting a project completed on time, the worst customer service you can offer is telling a client that you forgot to do their work. Telling them they are not important enough to remember will likely not bring you any additional business from them or their friends.

Once you are organized and disciplined, you can be prepared to work more hours than normal. At least until you have established yourself in your business and become acclimated to the amount of work you need to do. Another tip is to finish all the hard projects at the beginning so if you get behind, the easy ones can be done quickly.

Starting An Internet Business Without Bricks And Mortar

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

When you are starting an Internet business, there are certain notions that will require conscious thought. Things like how to market the business and where as well as who do you need to help get it off the ground. While starting an Internet business may seem like a daunting task, it is no different than starting a traditional business.

While traditional businesses require advertising, it is usually done with a shotgun approach. You shoot advertising all over the place and hope to hit something with your message. By default, your advertising for a traditional business will be focused on the geographic area in which your business is located. You must also adjust pricing to meet what your market will bear.

When starting an Internet business, your market can be less focused on location since your business will be global. You will also need to be more descriptive in your product presentation as people will not be able to touch and feel the items and will have to rely on what you say about them. You not only have to market them but also the how and why. Getting people to part with their money through an Internet business involves selling the business as well as an individual product or service.

Many old-style sales persons know that the biggest part of sales is selling your self. People who can make a potential buyer feel comfortable with them have a higher success rate. Those who simply sell the product can usually experience a certain success if they are selling a worthwhile product, but experiencing growth may be limited.

Once you have chosen the type of business you want to start and the people who will work with you, your marketing plan will need to be executed. Once you have made your announcement and made the promise of what you will do, you need to do what you have promised. Customer service needs to be more than a promise; it needs to be a way of life. Unlike a traditional business, on the Internet you will never be the only game in town. If you make mistakes with customer service there will be hundreds, if not thousands of other businesses ready to take your place.

Many traditional businesses eventually fail because they are not willing to change with the shopping habits of their customers. The product mix may become stale or new competition may offer merchandise the old store does not have and since success has been around for years, many do not see the need to change.

With an internet business, changes are required almost daily and there is no real harm in looking at your competition to see what they are offering and some of the ideas may be worth mimicking. However, make sure any new ideas you implement are filled with your personal touch to keep your customers satisfied with you.

Home Business System

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Are you good with computers and considering a home business where you can utilize your computer knowledge? You may be interested in starting a computer tech business from home offering support to the millions of Americans who own computers but often times become very frustrated with them.

If you are planning this type of business with your spouse and have children carefully, consider this venture before stepping into it. You will need to be able to manage your time and have an excellent ability to communicate to each other. You do not want your partnership to turn into a power struggle or both your marriage and business can become at risk of falling apart. Starting a home business takes investment both financially and emotionally so weigh your options carefully before jumping into the arena of home-based businesses.

It will be important to divide the responsibilities within the business. Look at the strengths that both of you have and divide them up that way. If both you and your spouse have great skills, when it comes to working with clients, one of you may prefer to do a different part of the business. Your business will succeed when you work together utilizing each other’s strengths as opposed to getting into a power struggle over who should work in which area of the business. Just as in a corporate environment, you have those who work in the forefront working with the customers and managing the day-to-day operations and another who work behind the scene generating the paperwork, payroll, and other office duties. Any large financial decisions should always be made together.

You do not want to be screaming at each other when differences arise so decide on a plan as to how you are going to handle disputes that arise and they do arise in all businesses. Again look at how businesses are run, have weekly meetings or even morning daily meetings to look at what you are going to accomplish that day. If you start your business but never, take time to communicate with each other as to what is happening your business will fail. Having weekly or daily meetings will lessen the chance of something happening that is unexpected and you will be more able to handle the little things that crop up.

If you have, children in the home consider hiring someone to come in and take care of the kids while you are working. It does not have to be all day but maybe for a few select hours when you know that you and your spouse need to concentrate without interruptions. Although one of the reasons you probably wanted to start a home business is so that you can be home with your children you will not be very effective if they are demanding your attention all day. Your children will have to adjust to the business being in your home the same way you and your spouse are adjusting.

Tips For Finding Work At Home

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Now that you have made that decision to work from home, you might think that it is all smooth sailing and that there is nothing you are going to have to worry about as you make your way into the work at home job market. Not true! Working from home might be great once you get going, but in order to get to the point where it is going to be worth it, you are going to have to do some grunt work and do a lot of it, before it pays off. Working from home requires hard work and dedication.

The first thing that you need to do is make a clear decision about what exactly you are going to be. You need to have a clear idea about what market you are going to go after and you need to make a decision about how you are going to get that market and conquer it in the best way that you know how. Once you know what it is that you are going to do, you need to begin to be able to market yourself. Whether this means advertising your business or taking care of your portfolio, you need to make sure that people know what you can do and that you can do it well.

Don’t expect to be able to simply start in at a large paying work from home job on the first day. It might take you awhile to fully get a grasp on what the job market is and to begin to make some connections when it comes to your field. The most important thing that you can do is to make sure that you have a good example of what you can do and that you have it accessible online. Whether this means that you are going to develop a website or an online portfolio, you need to get that done right away so you can start to apply for jobs or to find customers. So, the most important thing about finding work at home is to make sure that you have a place where potential clients can look at what you can do and can hire you if they’d like, or sign-up for your product.

After you know what you want to do and have taken steps to begin that process, you need to start to apply for jobs. This might mean that you visit many different job boards each day and apply for as many of the jobs that you think you can do as possible. Or, it might mean that you visit job boards and other boards and recruit clients for your business. Whatever it is that you need to do, the important thing is to get your name out there and to get started. One of the key things to remember is, fine something you love to do. If you love doing it you will put the work and time into it to achieve your success. And the money will come.

Supporting Your Spouse Christian Business

Copyright: Earl Williams
The NetMarketer

Your beloved spouse comes home from another day at the grind and announces, “I’ve had enough! I’m going into business for myself.” Before you start hoarding food and stashing money in the mattress, stop and pray.

Remember that God is sovereign and that He will provide for you. This new venture may be exactly what God has planned for your life. Surrender your will to Christ and pray. He may give you a peace that calms your fears and alleviates your concerns. Anxiety is a natural reaction to change, but as Christians we are to fight back with God’s truth.

The changes that come about in your spouse may surprise you, especially if they are following a prompting from God to leave the traditional work force. Pray with your spouse and be honest about your feelings. Discuss your excitement over the possibilities that a new business can provide. Vent your frustrations and fears about the changes and instability that will come in days ahead. Keep the communication open, between you and your spouse, and you and God.

This does not mean putting on a smile no matter what happens and ignoring the realities around you. It does mean that you should live beyond your circumstances and trust God. Be supportive of your spouse through the ups and downs. Encourage each other, pray together, and talk with other couples that have started a home business together.

Do some research in your spouse’s chosen area of business? Learn the associated jargon. Be familiar with the product or service provided by the business. Make yourself available to help with menial tasks like errands and printing shipping labels. Talk up your spouse’s bravery and professionalism every chance you get. Announce the birth of your new business at church, to your friends and family, to anyone who will listen. Be your spouse’s biggest fan. You will need to be knowledgeable of the business so that you can take calls on busy days and answer questions on the street when approached by curious neighbors and passers by.

Go to the library and research small business management and marketing, condense the books into a divided binder full of notes on the topics you have researched. You can present it to your spouse as a “business warming” gift. This information should be easy to read and condensed down to useful facts. You can even sneak in personal notes of encouragement, scripture verses or inspirational quotes.

Going the extra mile to show interest in what is important to your spouse will help hold you together through the storms of life and will allow you to build a strong, Christ centered business that can be passed down for generations to come.
